What are the requirements for being a Zebra English teacher?

• Speaks English at an Idiomatic level.
• Legally allowed to work in the US or Canada.
• Degree holder, bachelors or above.
• TESOL/TEFL/CELTA/DELTA certificate or a state issued teaching
  credential.
• K-12 experience, online experience is preferable.
• Can teach students regularly for a long term.

What equipment do I need?

A desktop, laptop, Mac, or surface device with a camera, headset and microphone. The device must have a minimum operating system of windows7 or macOS 10.11. A memory of at least 4GB or ram and a stable internet connection is recommended of at least 20 MPS.

What is the interview process at Zebra English?

• Basic info (10 minutes)
• Demo class 1 (30 minutes)
• Teacher Briefing (30 minutes)
• Contract signing and guidance.

Where does the interview take place?

The demo test 1 and teacher briefing will take place on the Zebra English APP.

How to prepare for my demo class?

After you confirm the demo interview time, you will receive a preparation guidance email. Please ensure you check your email inbox and junk/spam folders.

How much and when will I be paid?

You can earn up to $26 dollars with various participation and class quantity bonuses. You will be via direct bank deposits on the 10 th of each month.

Please note: During April you can also receive a new teacher bonus between $20 - $150 USD!

How long is each class?

Each class needs to be 25 minutes in length. However, each time slot is 30 minutes in length, it gives you a 5-minute buffer in case then student is late and ensures plenty of time for you to join the next student’s classroom.

How to make my teaching schedule?

Zebra English is a professional online one on one English education platform that aims to prove online English teacher with regular students and ensures a stable teaching schedule.

Bookings are time slots in your Zebra English schedule that students can reserve for their class times. You can open up time slots through the booking page on the Zebra English PC APP. When opening a time slot you have 4 choices, this week only, repeat 4 weeks, repeat 8 weeks and repeat 12 weeks.

Do I have to promote myself to gain students?

No, you will be assigned your students by Zebra English.
